In a year when talented freshmen flooded the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, EMU's soccer women were represented on the All-ODAC Teams by their high-scoring freshman, forward (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite).
Playing their first home ODAC Tournament game since 2006, EMU's soccer women suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss Monday night to ninth-seeded Randolph College. The Royals end the year with a record of 8-10-1. The eight wins are the most in Coach Ted Erickson's three seasons and second-highest total since 2008. With a roster consisting of no graduating seniors and nearly 50% of players new to the program, the future looks bright for Eastern Mennonite.
Even though EMU's soccer women couldn't notch an upset at No. 15 Lynchburg College in their season finale, they still secured a home game on Monday's first round of the ODAC Tournament.

EMU's soccer women held off visiting Randolph College Tuesday night to pick up a huge 2-1 win, drawing the teams into a tie for eighth place in the ODAC standings. Now with the head-to-head tie-breaker, the Royals have knocked Randolph from the possibility of hosting an ODAC Tournament first round game.
A first-half goal was enough, as EMU's soccer women picked up a key 1-0 ODAC win against Guilford Saturday in Harrisonburg. The Royals move into a tie with GC for ninth in the league standings at 3-5.
A goal in each half gave EMU's soccer women a 2-0 win over Hampton University Saturday afternoon in Harrisonburg. Their fourth shutout of the season was easily the most impressive, as Eastern Mennonite earned the victory over the D-I Pirates.
