It had to end sooner or later. EMU softball saw the best start in program history reach its peak on Wednesday, as No. 13 Randolph-Macon took a pair of games in Ashland to snap the Royals' 12-game winning streak.

Eastern Mennonite took an impressive sweep from Mary Washington in Harrisonburg on Sunday, improving on the best start in program history. Now 12-0 on the year, the Royals get into ODAC play this week, starting with a twinbill at Randolph-Macon on Wednesday. The softball women also host Emory & Henry and Guilford next weekend.

After eight games at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic, Eastern Mennonite's softball women have yet to taste defeat. At 8-0, the Royals are off to the best start to a season in the 38-year history of the EMU program.

EMU's softball women are off to one of their best starts in program history. The Royals have won their first four games at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. The previous best start Eastern Mennonite has had in the last 20 years has been 3-0.
