After earning a double dose of attention at last weekend's Clash at Kean, EMU's volleyball men vaulted to No. 12 in this week's AVCA national poll.

After helping his team to a pair of upset victories last weekend, Eastern Mennonite's (Chester, Va./Matoaca) has been named the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week.

For the second time in as many days, EMU's volleyball men have upset a top 10 team. Saturday it was No. 9 Vassar, as the Royals came from behind to knock off the Brewers in five sets.

The Royals split their second straight weekend homestand on Saturday, settling at 2-2 on the year. After a quick sweep of Lancaster Bible in the nightcap, Eastern Mennonite is now 2-0 against Division III competition this season.

EMU's volleyball men have been picked No. 5 in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Coaches Preseason Poll, which was released today.
