Dwight Gingerich ’81, boys basketball coach for Hillcrest Academy (formerly known as Iowa Mennonite School), notched his 753rd career win this season. His 753-233 career record makes him the fourth all-time winningest coach in Iowa history, according to a Jan. 25 article in The Gazette, a daily newspaper published in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Gingerich, who is coaching his 43rd season at the school — he’s also the principal there — was inducted into the Iowa High School Basketball Hall of Fame . In 2010, he received EMU’s annual Alumnus of the Year Award (EMU News).
