What we do
EMU’s Advancement Team is composed of fundraising and alumni/community engagement professionals who meaningfully engage alumni, donors, parents, corporations, foundations, churches and others to maximize philanthropic support and advocacy to advance EMU’s mission of preparing students to serve and lead in a global context.
We aim to help EMU alumni feel connected to their alma mater, and to help current and prospective students achieve their academic goals by increasing philanthropic support of EMU. To accomplish this, we:
- Engage with alumni, parents, and friends of the university to invite financial support, feedback, volunteering, and prayer.
- Build special support groups like: President’s Partners, Partners in Peacebuilding, and Royal Women.
- Assist donors in establishing or adding to endowed scholarships, academic program endowments, chair endowments, and/or immediate impact grants.
- Coordinate on- and off-campus gatherings for regional council groups, alumni, and donors.
- Share regular EMU updates with alumni and supporters to keep them informed about upcoming events, alumni success stories, university news, and more.
- Connect students with alumni for internships and other professional opportunities.
- Encourage volunteer involvement from alumni, friends, and parents.
