Language is so powerful. The same use of military words occurs in the medicine field. “Killer cells,” “the body is a battle ground,” etc. The application creates separation and hopelessness between those four aspect of our being: mind, heart, body and spirit. –A vision contrary to that of the Indigenous people.

That is why I have adopted the words “Person who was harmed” for the “V” word; and “person who offended” for the “O.” I hope to accomplish two things with this: remember that RJ is about real people; be aware that human beings are in a state of change and transcendence.
