Movements of Faith, Geography of Hope

Human history is a story of movements – migrations, invasions, escapes, captivities and trade.The biblical story is no exception for scripture is shaped by movements that are motivated by desperation and hopelessness, but also faith and hope. As such, the biblical story offers an alternative perspective to the fear that permeates our culture.

As a follow-up to President Swartzendruber’s , students reflect on how climate change is impacting students and communities connected to EMU and what our role is in keeping the earth as a practice of faithfulness. Erin Rheinheimer and Melinda Norris present a list of “14 of Your Favorite Things that Climate Change is Ruining.” student Fabrice Guerrier and student Eric Trinka also offer further reflections. Chapel also concludes with a sending for the Middle East Cross-cultural Seminar group.
