For more information about the day and to donate, visit love.emu.edu<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Harrisonburg, Virginia, native Julie Weaver \u201924<\/strong> has Royal blue in her blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her grandfather, Samuel O. Weaver<\/strong>, graduated from Eastern Mennonite College and led Eastern Mennonite High School as its principal for more than a decade. Her grandmother graduated from EMHS and attended EMC. Her parents are EMC alumni. When it was her turn to attend college, the EMHS grad wasn\u2019t so sure she wanted to follow in their footsteps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI really liked EMU,\u201d Weaver said, \u201cbut I thought, \u2018Do I want to go to a school on the same block I\u2019ve been on for the past four years?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
