Peacebuilding<\/a>,\u201d writes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emu.edu\/personnel\/people\/show\/jb459\">Daryl Byler<\/a>, executive director, in his foreword to the annual Peacebuilder magazine.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"highlight highlight-right\"> Read <a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/search?q=peacebuilder\">the digital issue<\/a>.<\/aside>\n<p>The 2016-17 magazine features articles on the theme of \u201cLearning Through Theory and Practice,\u201d focusing on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/cjp\/graduate-programs\/conflict-transformation\/\">MA in conflict transformation<\/a> program.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic programs director Jayne Docherty begins the thematic treatment with an <a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/a-justice-and-peacebuilding-curriculum-for-the-21st-century\/\">essay about CJP curriculum development<\/a> and the unique collaborative process by which the curricula is re-visioned in response to changing global needs.<\/li>\n<li>Alumni <a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/jordanian-consultant-trainer-reflects-on-ongoing-relevance-of-cjp-degree\/\">Raghda Quandour<\/a>, MA \u201903, and <a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/from-the-field-negotiating-for-peace-in-burundi\/\">Jean Claude Nkundwa<\/a>, MA \u201914, talk about impacts of CJP education on their work in the Middle East and Burundi, respectively.<\/li>\n<li>The second-year <a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/the-practicum-experience\/\">practicum experience<\/a>, when students merge theory and practice, is shared through four students.<\/li>\n<li>Learn about two new programs: the new <a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/cjp-offering-new-ma-in-restorative-justice-degree\/\">MA in restorative justice program<\/a>, the first of its kind in North America, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/limited-residency-progam-enables-professionals-to-earn-graduate-degrees\/\">limited residency program<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>A sampling participate in a conference<\/a> in Bosnia and Herzegovina about trauma and memory.<\/li>\n<li>Summer Peacebuilding Institute hosts a popular new class, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/lisa-schirch-teaches-popular-new-spi-course-in-peacebuilding-approaches-to-violent-extremism\/\">Peacebuilding Responses to Violent Extremism,<\/a>\u201d with Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emu.edu\/personnel\/people\/show\/schirchl\">Lisa Schirch<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/peacebuilder\/2016\/10\/fourth-cohort-of-womens-peacebuilding-leadership-program-begins-studies-at-the-summer-peacebuilding-institute\/\">Eight Kenyan women<\/a> comprise the fourth cohort of the Women\u2019s Peacebuilding Leadership Cohort.<\/li>\n<li>Zehr Institute hosts and experts provide <a
