Would have been great for me had it been there in the early ’60s! Thanks to the invaluable help of a long-time preschool teacher in my area, Mary Clemmens, and the great support of my principal, I did manage to do a reasonable job of beginning a preschool when asked to do so. I like the name “Early Learning Center”!

The children and their families benefit from the individualized attention and opportunities for exploration that the ELC provides, while at the same time future educators are given the opportunity to gain practical experience and gain confidence in developing important teaching skills. I hope that this is a partnership than can continue for years to come! Thanks to Rachel, Erin, Bonnie, and others who continue to guide and support the vision for the ELC. (I encourage current families of the ELC to share their experiences with others who are looking for a valuable preschool option for their little ones.)
