Michael Sharp’s work has been an encouragement to my family and the communities they belong to in DRC. My parents and my brother and his family live and work in Kinshasa, the Equatorial region and the Kasai region. I am grateful for his work, and send my condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. I can only imagine the loss.

I was a student in Stuttgart and a peace activist expat. Michael was a patient, witty, and very passionate man for his believes. It was a pleasure knowing him and having worked with him to help local GI’s.

Even though we have not been in touch for 6-7 years, I am extremely sad upon hearing Michael’s sacrifice. My condolences to his family. And please let us know if there is anything we can do to help them in this hard times.

Michael, I will always remember you.
